As our children start college, our carefully planned and wide ranging curriculum, delivered by highly qualified specialists in small classes, challenging the students and helping them discover for themselves areas in which they excel.
We have successfully integrated a Nigerian curriculum in the area of Humanities to give our children an insight into our culture, environment, history and the way we evolve especially in areas of History, Geography and Creative Arts.
Entry into the College is normally at Year 7 (11+). However, slots do sometimes become available in other year groups throughout the year. The admission process for Year 7 consists of assessment tests where we test a child’s talents and abilities so as to clarify what each child can do and achieve given the opportunities available at Ocean Crest.
Ocean Crest College caters for students from ages 11 -13 (Year 7 to Year 9) and subsequently to age16, (Year 11) leading to Checkpoint and Cambridge IGCSE Examinations.
All students take part in a rigorous curriculum which consists of the following subject areas: English Language, Mathematics, Literature, Science, Humanities, Technology, Physical Education, Arts and Design, Computing and Foreign Languages. We also integrate the Nigerian Curriculum in the area of Humanities to give our students an insight into our culture and environment.
Furthermore, the school offers study across a broad range of subjects with the aim of promoting global perspective.
