Admission Policy and Procedure

Nursery 1 (3 years – 4 years)Nursery 2 (4 years – 5 years)
At the Reception, serious concentration is given to reading, writing and mathematical skills in the morning, working with Phonic sounds introduced in Nursery One. Children read everyday and are encouraged to develop a love of books which they are allowed to take home while both teachers and parents do a follow up in their day to day reading. Parents are invited during our Open Day to get to know about the their child's progress.

Children leave OCS Nursery two with the necessary skills and qualities to a make fantastic start in their Primary Education. We have regular contact with Year 1 pupils and teachers regularly, interacting with their older peers. Our children leave Nursery two with confidence and good foundations to take them forward happily in rest of their school year.

At this stage children start to develop their early learning skills through our ‘show and tell’ sessions. By the time they are in Nursery 2, they will be confident enough to act in our OCS yearly Mini Concert and contemporary plays like.

Your child’s daily diary keeps you up to date with what has been happening each day. We will invite you to our Open Day once a term to come and share in your child’s achievements. After school care program is also available for your needs from 7.30am – 6pm.

When children reach our Nursery One (3-4), we begin to prepare for the start of formal education offering a curriculum structured around the Early Learning Goals.
